Tom Lunney

Tom has spent his professional career in small business since leaving the USAF, retiring as a Lt Col. His first business specialized in application development and design where he honed his government contracting skills. When the application was completed Tom moved on to teaching on the college level in Indianapolis. This in turn led to his pursuing a business in the financial industry for the last 10 years.

Tom uses his expertise in working with business owners on their management, operations, marketing, and financial matters.  He has a large army of service provider professionals he will recommend to his business owners that will provide needed professional assistance.

Tom also helps businesses navigate the avenues required for doing business with all levels of government.  He has visited with buyers, procurement officers, and other officials to be in the best position to advise business owners what types of certifications will benefit them and which contracts they should consider.

Tom’s passion for helping small business was realized when he was asked to join the local SCORE chapter in Cincinnati. Here, Tom has advised hundreds of business owners on topics ranging from financing, development, contracting, employee help, and franchising. He is very instrumental in helping businesses get established with government contracting opportunities and is a frequent speaker for Mayor Mallory’s Shop 52 seminars and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

Tom is married to the former Nancy L. McCullough and has two grown daughters. He still has a passion for flying, and enjoys fishing, hiking, and skiing.
